When you foster, you agree to welcome a homeless animal into your home providing them with love, care, socialization, attending to medical needs with instruction if needed until they are ready for adoption or can be returned to the shelter for further care. The time they spend with you may be a few days or longer as may be necessary.
Why do we need foster homes?
There are many reasons a dog might need foster care. Some of the most common include:
An underaged puppy is too young to be adopted and needs special care.
A dog is recovery from surgery, illness or injury and needs a safe place to recuperate.
Under socialized animals need one on one time with human contact to help them recognize love comes from human hands.
Dogs that show severe signs of stress from living in a new and loud environment may need a calming place to decompress.
Fostering an animal frees up space from an overpopulated shelter
Why should I consider fostering a homeless dog?
If you have time, space and are dedicated to saving a life, fostering a dog is very rewarding and gives them a second change of life only you can provide!
